Admission requirements

1. The admission conditions applicable to Saudis in higher education institutions apply to internal and external scholarship students.
2.The following are required for acceptance of external scholarship students:
3. The student’s age must not be less than (17) years and not more than (25) years for the university stage and the Arabic Language Teaching Institute or its equivalent, and (30) years for the master’s stage, and (35) years for the doctoral stage, and the educational institution’s council may make an exception to this.
4.Obtaining a high school diploma or its equivalent.

5. It must not have been more than three years since obtaining high school.

6. Valid residency.

7. Passing any test or personal interview required by the department to which you wish to be accepted.

8. Approval from the reference to study for those who work in a government or private entity.

9. Admission is available to all departments except health departments at the university.​​​

10. In the event of final approval for admission, the student is obligated to submit the required documents and fill out the forms according to the mechanism announced by the Scholarships Department at the time.

 

 

Admission procedures

First: submitting grant applications

- Embassies of the Kingdom and their counterparts abroad

- Higher education institutions in the Kingdom

 

Second: Procedures for accepting scholarship students

1 The Kingdom’s embassies and their counterparts abroad are responsible for receiving female scholarship applicants who apply to them according to the principles approved by the permanent committee formed in the Ministry of Higher Education. After verifying these applications, the Ministry of Graduate Studies will refer them to higher education, provided that this is within the period specified for receiving admission students, in accordance with what What is agreed upon by the permanent committee.

2 The Ministry of Higher Education refers the names of students nominated for study to the Ministry of Graduate Studies, which undertakes to complete the accepted students’ initial visit to the Kingdom’s representations in their country to complete visa procedures.

3 In the event of receiving scholarship requests from abroad to higher education institutions in the Kingdom, the Ministry of Higher Education, after fulfilling the legally prescribed conditions, sends the names of the nominated students to the concerned authority and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and takes measures to accept them.

 

 

Scholarships

Scholarships are divided into two sections:
- Internal scholarships for students legally residing in the Kingdom.
- External scholarships for students outside the Kingdom.

 

Selection mechanism for admission:

1. Acceptance is done competitively during the admission period.

2. Applying for admission through the university’s website for all male and female students(www.reg.qu.edu.sa)

3. Applicants for initial admission are sorted according to the admission criteria and percentages specified for internal scholarship students and then submitted to the Ministry of Education to complete the student’s admission to an internal scholarship.

4. After obtaining final approval from the Ministry of Education, applicants will be accepted according to The following acceptance criteria:

First criterion:

The weighted percentage is calculated as follows:
Secondary certificate average 30% + general aptitude test score 30% + achievement test score 40%

It is a condition of acceptance for:

- All female students wishing to join the university on the scholarship system.
- Students applying to scientific majors.

 

Second criterion:

The equivalent ratio is calculated as follows:

(High school diploma rate × 0.50) + (General aptitude test score ×0.50)

It is a condition for accepting students applying to all colleges except scientific colleges

 

Scholarship benefits

1. Health care for him and his family members - in the event that they are brought to live with him - which is provided to citizens, and provided by the educational institution if the regulations require it.
